I am a 30-year old woman who has recently undergone fat grafting to the breasts. After a difficult recovery period, the transferred fats reduced significantly after a few months. I am currently unhappy with the size of my breasts and am considering undergoing another round of fat grafting. My question is this; will a follow-up treatment help me achieve the results I want? Furthermore, how can I improve fat uptake levels if I do decide on another session of fat grafts to the breast?
This is a common issue with all fat grafts as its uptake is so operator and instrument dependant. Even in the best centres it takes up to three sessions to increase the breasts by one size! You can go for more fat grafting, but be informed that you may need more sessions to achieve the results that you need. Most patients, due to lack of patience and funds, will opt for implants. The results are more reproducible, symmetrical and satisfaction is far better.
